Andatura is a racing game for people who love cars. We're one of the few racing games on the net that offer over 1000 vehicles for purchase -- with complete and relevant data ranging from RPMS to torque. This is a game for people who LOVE cars. In Andatura, you will customize your car -- train your drivers -- and compete around the world in massive races oftentimes ranging from 16 to 20 drivers. There is AI drivers always to keep you company and large seasons hosted about every 3 months. This is a very basic walkthrough to accompany the step system that is shown to all new players. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Getting Started~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ By now, you have hopefully logged into the game. If not, make sure you are logged in and you should be looking at the owner screen. Because you are under 2 hours old, you will be displayed a "New Player Checklist :". This is an easy to use shortcuts to all the relevant links you will need to play the game. In here, you'll find a detail of each of these steps below. [New Player Checklist] - Recruit 5 drivers Recruiting 5 drivers is simple. You simply goto the My Drivers->Recruit New Drivers(or click the GO link) and recruit 5 drivers. You will input a first and last name for the driver. You can put whatever you'd like although it is a good idea to name them something worth remembering. You can simply spam stuff if you're in a hurry. [New Player Checklist] - Purchase at least 1 car Purchasing a car. To begin, click on the "Purchase at Least 1 Car" link or Click My Cars->Buy New Cars. By default, only cars you can purchase are displayed on the initial dealership page. Buying Tips : Since car rosters are changed every 4 weeks, you'll have to use general guidelines when buying a car. * Buy a car that leaves you at least $1000 remaining for entering races. * Buy a car that has a class ending in 9 like [E9], [D9], [C9], [B9], [A9], etc. if you can afford it. Generally you want the highest available class ending in a 9. * If you buy an E or D class, you can enter more newbie races that are E or D class specific. Go [New Player Checklist] - Assign a racer to a car Alright, you got a car -- you got a 5 drivers recruited from 5 steps. Now to put 1 and 1 together -- you need to tell a driver to use that car. This is an easy step. Simply click GO or click My Drivers->My Drivers. At the very top of this page, you have the option of assigning a driver and car together. It really doesn't matter which one you pick, you can just go ahead and click Assign Racer whenever you have the two you want selected. Congratulations, you should receive the confirmation "Racer is assigned to this car." as well as a little picture of your car. Ok, finally, time to put the car on the track. Go [New Player Checklist] - Enter a Race Go ahead and click GO or click Race - Track Filters - Newbie. On this screen, you will be able to view a list of all newbie tracks. Simple look for a track that says Entry Accepted and click VISIT THIS TRACK. On this screen, click ENTER RACE. Here, you will be presented with a wealth of information -- telling you all about the entry fee, warnings for new players and even a pie chart detailing the track itself. A lot of it isn't a big deal for now but the pie chart is! Remember when you were buying a car back in Step 2, your car has a strength and weakness based on many factors regarding it. The car had 3 bars -- Acceleration, Handling and Power. A car that has a large handling bar will do better on Handling Tracks than one that has a small one, so on and so forth. If you bought a car that was largely handling, then it's a good idea to pick a handling track, etc. Picking a track that suits your car is 99% of sucess early on. In the newbie tracks, the cars you face will so heavily handicapped that you will often win even when mismatched but later on when you race on Amateur or Professional tracks, this is NOT the case. It is up to you if you want to be selective or not but when you're ready, scroll down and select ENTER RACE next to the car you have. You will be presented with the message "The racer is now entered into the race." Good news -- You're all set! But wait -- click on "Who's Racing Here?" above the Track Logo on this screen. You will now be taken to a screen of a list of racers on this track. Tracks have a count-down to when the race begins, ranging anywhere from a minute to hours. A lot depends on how long the track has already waited, what type of event it is, etc. On this list, you should see a list of cars. When the race counts down ENTRY ACCEPTED to 0 minutes, NPCs will fill the race besides other players. When the race fills, it will begin. == LIVE RACES == Live Races are the bread and butter of Andatura. It is not really the type of game you have to babysit, in fact -- you can chat on the phone, bake a cake or attend office matters before your supervisor yells at you. That is the beauty of it. But, you have the option to also watch the race. Once a race begins, you can watch the cars move through various maneuvers and see your average lap time, etc. This is a good place to see who owns you and who you own. It is also a very quick lesson in what type of cars to enter in what type of tracks. Your mustang is getting smoked by the tiny 4 cylinder handling car? Hmm, might want to check those Track Pie charts again. STRUCTURE OF LIVE RACE ---------------------- ENTRY ACCEPTED = This is when a race is counting down and users can enter. Once a race reaches 4 minutes, NPill also join. When entry reaches 0, the race will start if there is enough entrants or it will queue longer for more NPCS and/or players to join depending on the circumstances. RACE IN PROGRESS = The race is in progress(Obviously). When a race finishes, prizes are handed out and the cars are returned back to your control. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Long Term Gameplay~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Andatura is a beast of a game. Besides being 6 years old, it has more features than I can possibly go over in this very introductory walkthrough. Basically, the premise is this -- You buy cars, race with them, buy more cars, race with them. You keep earning money and working your way up the food chain until you can enter the highest payout events. But that is not all there is. To compete vs players, you will oftentimes need to invest in Upgrade parts for your cars. There is also a large amount of player vs player aspects of the game to divulge into ranging from seasonal ladder to the player to player upgrade market.
